We Offer 3 Sedation Methods
3 different levels. Same anxiety-free experience.
You may know of nitrous oxide as laughing gas. It’s a safe and effective method to help you relax without feeling drowsy. Since it wears off quickly, you can drive to your appointment and home after the procedure.
Right before your appointment, you’ll take a pill to help wear off any anxiety you may have. By the time you sit in the chair, you’ll feel completely relaxed and may not even remember your treatment.
IV sedation is commonly known as “sleep dentistry.” While you won’t be “knocked out,” it puts you in a deep relaxation where you can respond to our questions and may forget the entire appointment.
“They Ease the Anxiety of Going to the Dentist”
“I am really glad I changed to ProGrin Dental. Brooke, my hygienist, and Dr. Henley are extremely nice, professional, and knowledgeable. Everyone at ProGrin has been the absolute greatest. I even like that they offer comfort items to ease the anxiety of going to the dentist. I have never been to an office that offered that before.”
– Sara, Actual Patient at ProGrin Dental of Boiling Springs
Have Questions About Sedation Dentistry?
Get answers straight from our sedation dentist.
- Does sedation dentistry really work?
We’ve heard countless patients tell us how much sedation dentistry helped them get through their dental visits. In fact, not remembering the procedure at all is fairly common.
- Is sedation dentistry safe?
Yes! All of our sedation methods are extremely safe. Our dental team has received the training and education to safely administer this dental treatment. It’s our mission to serve all of our patients with the best modern dentistry available.
- Can I drive home after having sedation dentistry?
With IV Sedation and Oral Conscious Sedation, you will need to arrange a ride home. It works so well you may feel groggy and drowsy after the procedure. During your consultation, you and Dr. Henley will discuss what you can expect and discuss how you can set up a ride before and after your appointment.
- Does IV sedation hurt?
Administering IV sedation dentistry is incredibly easy. We’ll rub numbing cream on your skin, insert the IV, and the next thing you know you’re done with your appointment!
