The situation surrounding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) is extremely fluid right now. We have spent countless hours reading about and monitoring the situation surrounding its outbreak. Dental professionals are in one of the highest risk categories for transmission and contraction of the Coronavirus due to the nature of our business. The South Carolina Dental Association recommended suspending all non-emergency or urgent dental procedures for the next 14 days. In addition, the CDC is recommending that we limit larger gatherings of people as much as possible.
Therefore, in the interest of safety of our patients, our staff, and our community at large, we have decided to postpone all appointments until further notice.
This has been one of the most difficult decisions we have ever made. And we understand it will cause difficulties in re-scheduling our patients. But we truly feel, as a healthcare professional, that this is the right thing to do. We hope everyone understands and respects this decision. We ask for your patience and flexibility as we move forward. In the interim, we will do our best to provide phone and emergency services.
There is no need to contact us to reschedule appointments right now, because we just don’t know when we will be able to resume normal patient care. We will contact you as we know more. If you do have a true dental emergency, please call the office and we will have a doctor on-call to handles these situations.
